Bookings for the Tasting Room are welcome but not necessary. Tours and other Experiences DO need to be booked in advance so we know to expect you. You are welcome to visit the distillery, brewery and shop for guided tastings before or after you dine with us.
Tastings & Tours
The Heke's custom-built Golf Zone features two state-of-the-art golf simulator bays, designed for undercover, all-weather play. Each bay offers play on virtual courses, driving ranges, and interactive games. Up to six people can play per bay, but taking turns limits each person's playtime. If in doubt, book both bays. The whole area can be booked for larger groups, offering space to play, watch & relax, and we can deliver drinks & snacks as you play.
Golf Zone
We’d love to host your special birthday, team party, Christmas party, family reunion, wedding and day-before or day-after wedding celebrations.
Our venue promises delightful hospitality with a personal touch, delivering unique experiences complemented by premium food and drinks served with genuine warmth and smiles.

Shop & Tasting Room:
7 days from 12 noon.Book for up to 14 people here, or email bookings@theheke.co.nz for larger groups. Bookings are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome. You can have a tasting flight with your lunch, but Guided Tastings are in the Boilermaker Bar which you can book separately, or just come in on the day - after lunch is ideal!
N.B: Occasionally Tues or Weds do not have pizza available due to staffing.

Our kitchen is open until 30 mins before we close each day.
We may request a booking pre-authorisation of $10 pp. This is only charged if you do not give us 24 hours notice of cancellation (larger groups might require more notice - see your event T & C’s). -
Our stunning luxe Boilermaker Bar & Barrel Hall is open everyday from 12 noon. Click to book Tasting Flight experiences and Grain to Glass Tours are available most days at 11.15 am
